>>> May the basketball gods smile upon you and grant you a decisive victory in your final home appearance.

Consider that wish granted.

We are strong at home where we play better and more at ease, it seems. Being senior day, and being that there will be no league crown for the Drews (whom you did justice with today's blog), I think this team will rally and win one for the two gippers. Keep in mind, since IU lost that bum Sampson, they've only played at NW (who's NW) and home against OSU (who's suffering right now). The atmosphere should be the sixth man to give this team a deserving win.

Regaring yesterday's rant, I think you're pretty well spot on. I can't bring myself to say Izzo has peaked, and I'm not sure that I believe that statement anyway. But he definitely is human as a coach, and we're seeing that. It's a bit tough when feelings begin to be mixed.

Agreed on the two Drews, despite this year's disappointments both guys have been great Spartans and have represented the school and West Michigan as well as possible. Neitzel isn't the only one who was questioned by the media, Naymick took his fair share too, and has turned into a solid contributor (and was also a key player during the 2005 Final Four run)

If we get to script their "dream home finale" how bout 18 and 5 assists for Little Drew and 8 points 6 boards and holding White to 9 points for Big Drew, followed by two kisses of the center court S as they depart?? (I agree with our concerns, this has a few similarities to '06 when we lost to Illinois on senior day after a tough loss a few days earlier)
