Maybe we can post a few of the highlights in the comments section for those viewers who don’t live in the Lansing area.
Hat tip: Joe Rexrode.
Cool! Will they have flashbacks of the first dozen years of pulling Jud back to the bench as he attempts to bite Jim Burr’s head off? Or, perhaps, tracking down the ball that Jud bounced off his forehead? Or highlights of Tom drinking coffee at Tony’s on State Street in Saginaw at 2:00 AM on his way back from the Arthur Hill–Saginaw High game in 1992? All things considered, I would think that the first dozen years shouldn’t take up much of the show, but you never know.
I hope at the end, they cut live to Magic Johnson presenting Tom Izzo with the Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence Award.
Is this going to be on anyother stations ? Detroit area ? Internet. Want to see it / TiVo it. Hope someone has an idea…. thanks !
Sorry, Sparty. I don’t have any idea how else you can see it.
Great footage from the 1980s/1990s. Enjoyed the segment with Mark Holllis about the days when they roomed together as a student manager and graduate assistant.
Great reminder of what a tremendous asset Izzo is to our university. He says his goal is to never be a “phony”–a goal he’s done a darn good job meeting.
