Sweetness

March 22, 2009 by kj

On to the Sweet Sixteen, my friends.  Our eighth trip in the last 12 years.

Travis Walton wasn’t going to have it any other way.

Let’s dance, baby!

I used to be a huge Walton critic (offensively. His defense has always been stellar) but his play this year started turning me around. Tonight’s performance cemented that. He can now do no wrong. Thank you Travis.

    Who knew? Walton the Great!

Now, it’s Suton’s turn to show what he has got. I am sure Kansas will come out and be ready to play, and we need to Suton to score inside and to stop Aldrich.

I hope Suton remembers 2005 final four which MSU reached by beating Tubby’s UK. Suton was jumpy and happy to grab the final four gear after OT win against UK.

G! You’ve got to step up for your fellow senior Walton!

I couldn’t be any happier for Walton a having a huge hand on this win. He’s been a gutsy player from the first day he stepped on the floor for MSU, this was the gutsiest of gutsy gutsiness out of him. And the intensity on defense. Count me as one who would be happy if he decided to become a grad assistant next year, and a candidate for the big job in 15 years or so. The deeper MSU goes in this tournament, the bigger the legend of this game becomes.
